Willemjan, it's just as well. My Dutch is not very good. I was stationed there for three years in the early 80s, so it's very rusty.

I'm not using UTF-8, just English ISO 8859-1. From reading, it sounds like I should convert everything to UTF-8, but I'm not really sure what that does for me or what issues it might cause.

Crip

.. maybe you should ask over @ SMF 2.0 Support , cuz it's prolly been ask before?

Crip, I'm just answering Willemjan's question - that's not the issue we're working on. We're still trying to figure out why the icon for showing there's a new post isn't showing up in any of the themes I've downloaded from you all, just a red x spot.

Crip

Doc,
.. clearly the RSS image isn't there , or it would show all the time is all i'm saying...

It's not about the RSS image, it's the NEW image. I figured the problem out from Willemjan's clue. The code is calling for the "new.gif" image in the English-utf8 directory, but I didn't use English-UTF8, so only the English directory loaded. When I copied the English-UTF8 directories into each of the images folders for each of the themes, the NEW icons showed up just fine.

Problem solved.

Thanks, Willemjan! (Bedankt!)
