Black Rain Alt - Removing searchbox and login/welcome widget

Hi,
First of all Crip, you rock.  I just switched to SMF after using phpbb since it came out, and your themes played a good part in my decision to switch.  Rock on!.

This is how my forum currently looks like http://img831.imageshack.us/img831/6853/nowi.png

Below the banner it displays "Hello, <username>" if logged in and login box if not logged in.  It also displays search box, news if enabled (which I disabled) and it displays that default SMF logo/or slogan (BlackRain Alt logo now).

I'm aware that I can click on that small button by the search box to collapse everything below SMF logo, but is there an easy way to simply remove all of that (or at least move it to the footer/bottom of the page) and make it look like this http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/9743/later.png  where navigation menu starts right below the banner?

I am sorry if my question is inappropriate in any way.  I really don't know how easy or hard this would be, I just switched to SMF yesterday so it's gonna be a while before I get a hang of it.

At the very least, can you tell me if I need to change things in index.css or in index.template.php.. or something else...or all of the above lol.

EDIT: If this is too complicated but you would still like to help and would need admin access to do so, just let me know and it will be done.

EDIT 2: Just in case, I use SMF 2.0 RC4

This can be done, but needs some custom coding. That means we either need admin access, or we need the index.template.php and the index.css.

It actually is harder to move it to the bottom, then it is to remove it.

We also need an link to your website.

By the way, if it was me, I would remove the large space above your header . Just an thought
